I avoided watching this film for about 20 years as it traumatised me as a child. This is due, in no small part to the immense amount of death and carnage portrayed in the first 10 minutes of the movie and the fact that Optimus Prime dies. Having rewatched it a few times in recent years I have exorcised my demons and now appreciate it for the masterpiece that it is!
Great story, great cast, awesome soundtrack. Good times!
